While the public image of many private security companies is simply "blasters for hire", the Matukai Dragons are known to have a much broader range of abilities than just martial skill.

The Matukai Dragons aim to not only bring a successful resolution to hostile engagements but also ensure the result is sustainable. The best way to guarantee the peace and stability of a society is to provide a strong economy with meaningful occupations for everyone. As a result, worlds under the direction of Matukai leadership are certain to undergo massive industrialization programs which see billions of migrants come from all across the galaxy to settle on these Outer Rim planets of opportunity. Naturally, the allure of fast wealth attracts some of the less reputable members of the galaxy but crime levels are surprisingly low for frontier planets. This is achieved through a combination of legal means for earning wealth being encouraged, intelligent planetary planning and strict clamp-downs on any criminal activity before it gets out of control.
The civil operations of the Matukai Dragons are broken into several branches.

The foundation of this section is the mining branch run by Lyatr Gahata and responsible for the discovery and extraction of necessary minerals across every planet Matukai Dragons controls. A steady flow of these raw materials is the basis of the heavy industry at the heart of Matukai territory. The mining of natural resources needs careful monitoring in these Outer Rim areas to ensure environmental damage is minimized and dangerous components do not find their way into the hands of extremist groups.

While the vast majority of manufacturing on Matukai planets is carried out by private corporations, there are significant projects handled by Matukai's industrial branch, Star Forge Manufacturing. In addition to the main company's regulation of all military construction, Star Forge is responsible for equipping and arming the elite units of the Matukai military. With capability ranging from line class capital ships to personal blasters and armour, the furnaces of this group never have time to cool.
The lifeblood of the civilian sector that keeps all these services running is the logistics section. Always offering opportunities for the young pilots of the galaxy, the logistics branch is responsible for many of the initial experiences and training received by recruits before moving into other service with the Dragons.
